Hi-Lo: Proper Probability

I'm sure this has been posted before, in fact I'd be very surprised if it hasn't but here goes.

Hi-Lo needs to have more realism and a higher element of chance in it, so that it becomes more of a gamble. Sure, it screws you in the arse every so often (Ace. Lower. Ooh, another Ace, don't you feel like a dick?) but it should better reflect the odds of what the next card might be.

Sure, when I'm on a King, the next card might be an Ace, but I'm never going to bet higher because there's no additional incentive. So I suggest that you introduce odds so that if I bet high on a King (or low on a 3) and I'm right, I get a bigger multiple in return because the odds are lower. Maybe even a chance to choose what the card will be, or a range (ie 2-5, 6-8 etc) each with a different set of odds, similar to roulette.

Good idea, but I like high low just as it is. The only way I can win back the points black jack steals.

Love that idea. I mean i just played. got a 10. lower. queen. Wow! 10000 points have been deducted!
That's not a problem; but i really like your idea and think they should fix it...
ps. Yeah i hate when you guess lower or higher and you get the same card.

Also, it'd be nice if we could bet however many points we want. They are our points, after all...

One majoy thing that I see wrong with high low now, is that there are no odds for betting the same. If the odds were like ten to one, there would be a good payoff, however in the long run, someone who bets the same all of the time would lose because there is a one in thirteen chance, actually a little lower, but close to that.

I also think there should be an insentive to keep on betting. I, like Bob use it to gain lost point sometimes, but it'd be nice if there was an extra percentage of your points added for sticking with it and not starting again
